About Point Loma

Geographically, Point Loma refers to a peninsula of land flanking the entry and northern part of San Diego bay. The westerly, ocean facing side of “the point” is Ocean Beach (92107). The side closer to and facing San Diego bay is Point Loma (92106). Point Loma benefits from temperate ocean breezes and unbeatable San Diego bay and ocean views. It has a quaint village and is home to a vibrant boating community and most of San Diego’s yacht clubs – including San Diego Yacht Club. As the former tuna fishing capital of the world, Point Loma also boasts San Diego’s freshest seafood and numerous wonderful restaurants. Charming streets, good schools, and scenic bay-side trails are just a few of the many selling points of Point Loma.
