Downtown San Diego Condo Buildings – A Complete Guide

Downtown San Diego has made a dramatic transformation in recent decades. When I first moved to San Diego in the early 1990’s, downtown San Diego had only just begun its transformation. Horton Plaza, previously a shopping mall and now being redeveloped as a tech hub with multiple purposes, was one of the early developments that began to change the character. Soon, downtown was seeing interest from major residential developers like Bosa, Intergulf, CityMark, and others. The constant draw of visitors to the San Diego Convention Center, along with the recently developed Petco Park continues to vitalize the area. The waterfront along San Diego is also benefiting from substantial revitalization and development, including the very popular concert venue at the Rady Shell.

Downtown San Diego appeals to many condo buyers. Residents here have easy access to shopping, restaurants, nightclubs, cafes, concerts, cultural events, and the beautiful San Diego Bay. The area is also home to dozens of residential condo buildings. If you are considering buying a condo in downtown San Diego, it can be a challenge to sort through all the options. Each condo building has its own unique feel, location, amenities, and views. With continued development, some of those views are more likely to be obscured than others.

To help you in your research, I have compiled a continuously updated list of several dozen downtown San Diego condo buildings. I am also including a link that provides a current list of the latest downtown San Diego condos for sale.
